Hey Gretchen Wilson here and today's question comes from Estella Pan in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Estella asks, "What is the single most important thing you learned through the making of your first two albums that you will take and apply to your future projects?"
The most important thing I learned about the recording process was a little piece of advice that came from a good friend of mine, John Rich. He told me, "Don’t ever record a song that you don’t love because if you record a song that you don’t love, it is guaranteed to be the biggest on your record and you will sing it for the rest of your life."
In the beginning that didn’t really make a whole lot of sense to me. I've since discovered exactly what he was talking about--and it’s not "Redneck Woman", don't worry. I love singing that song, but you really have to make sure that you make a record that you really love. If you find yourself skipping a track when you're driving down the road in the car and fast forwarding past something, maybe that’s not the right song for your record.

Hey there how does it feel when you make a knew song everytime are you neverous or do you pray that it makes a hit in do hope your fans like it!
Your just the cooliest singer in you know your old song red neck woman i sing it in i'm black so i have a lot of people judging me about that but i'm like hey if gretchen wrote it i got to sing it hey keep making those alsome songs your at the top in your the number artist in mine in alot of other peoples eyes
