Taylor: Well, thank you, first of all. Good question. The story behind this song, as most of you know, I was in high school this time last year. I got a lot of song inspiration from that. This song is about a guy who sat next to me in class, and I had the biggest crush on him. I was definitely in the "friend zone." He would talk to me every day about his girlfriend, and how happy they were, and how awesome she was and blah, blah, blah. I would just sit there and fake a smile and tell him how happy I was for him. I never told him that I liked him and it absolutely was killing me. So I wrote a song with his name in it and this song is definitely the product of that — never being able to tell them that you like them.

I think a lot of people have been through that, where it is just killing you. You want to be able to tell them but you can't. I came to the realization that, if I am his friend, I'll do anything to make him happy — even if what makes him happy isn't me. That was kind of a hard thing to come to terms with, and one way was to write this song. I cannot wait for you to see the video! We just shot it. I am just really excited to have this song out there.

I've been there before, I know what it's all about. I actually just got out of a relationship, where he always got in trouble with his parents, and the law. Hes put away now but gets out next week. I thought it would last longer than 2 months, it broke my heart to find out what he did but i knew it was over. no one deserves to be treated like that.

This song really struct a cord with my the first time i heard it. My friend jill told me that she thought i would like so i listened to it. I had liked this guy for a long time and we were best friens. He told me one day that he liked my best friend and he would talk bout her all the time. Listening to this song was like listening to my heart because all the things you wrote i have been feeling and your right when u say if i his friend i will do anything to make him happy because i dont think you could deal with all that he put you through not knowingly unless you cared about him. So thank you for writing this song it has helped me through the hard times

The first time I saw the music video I fell in love with it. I've had that feeling before and it is not a good feeling. That was really sweet of you to fake smile and tell him how happy you were, even though it killed you inside. Then again I really Loved the song ^_^

Hey.. Wow... I LOVE THIS SONG! But ya wanna know the sad thing? The guy that I placed in this song was also my best friend, and we talked about everything together... he kept getting girlfriends, and finally I gave up on him... I'm kind of upset that he didn't ask me out, but I suppose that's not what he wants, and I REALLY WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY! Thanks for the song!
