Today's Fan Question: "Taylor, girls want to be you and guys want to date you. I have noticed that MySpace friends speak of suicide if they don't meet you. In these past two and a half months, you have become such a role model for so many young people out there. How do you cope with your stardom?" Zachary Bryson, Rossmoor, CA

Taylor: That is a really flattering question. I think I am going to dwell on that for awhile just kidding. I think it is really cool when I go into a public space and people ask for my autograph. It's fun, that's what I wanted it when I came into this. It really bothers me when famous people get all mad when people ask for their autograph. They are like "Oh my God, my privacy has been invaded; everyone wants to talk to me." This is what I asked for. This is what I've wanted since I was a little kid. I want to be known for my music. When someone comes up to me and says, 'I was just listening to your CD, this song helped me get through this…' That is the coolest thing ever. There is nothing wrong with that. When I am in a public place, I love to talk to people. If you ever see me out, I definitely want to talk to you. I am not one of those people who is ever going to be shy or anything about music. It's what I do. I am very happy that people know me for it.
You also have to keep your feet on the ground. I'm still a normal person. My parents have always grounded me. You mentioned in your question about how I am role model. If I make the wrong mistake, let down that responsibility, even for a second, it could all be gone. Because who is going to believe me when I am saying things if I can't justify it by acting right? I am always going to be conscious when people are watching me and will always try to do the right things as much as possible. Good question. Thank you so much. I will talk to you guys tomorrow with another GAC question of the day.

Taylor, you crack me up! I burst out laughing everytime I listen to stuff you say-not because I think it's "bad funny" or anything, because I think it's all amazing and that's why....like it feels like you're just having a conversation with me or anyone else listening. Like on the "who do you consider the hottest guy in the world of country music?"(my question), it just felt like you were answering me right then and there, just like in person! It's just totally cool that you don't try to be anyone else, or make up answers to try to sound better or anything-you are who you are, and you don't let anyone or anything come in the way of that. You're so inspirational and I absolutely love it! Please don't ever change!!

Taylor, I met you at Fan Fest this year and you were a sweetheart! You ARE a normal person, and have an incredible future ahead of you. My wife and I like your music because it sounds and feels very genuine. We also respect you tremendously for being such a solid guitar player. Here's a weird question... were you ever caught writing music in school, maybe when you were supposed to be studying or listening to a lecture? I wonder what your teachers think of you now that you're a rising country star! I'm really glad you're all over this website right now... congrats on the artist of the month as well! I'll end this post with a quote from Carlos Santana... obviously not a country musician, but a famous musician who has remained successful for well over 30 years. "Never develop your opinion or sense of yourself on the road. Go home, change diapers and take out the garbage for two weeks." Changing diapers doesn't apply for you yet, but I think this quote means stay grounded. On the road, you have people that do everything for you. In your own house and in reality, don't be above taking your own trash out.
Keep the good tunes coming!
