Busy Bee

Whew it has been busy! Let's see, Tuesday I spoke with Big and Rich about their 3rd album, Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace. The CD will street June 5th but my interview with the guys will air on June 1st. I didn't know much about the book they are also releasing the same day as their album but they brought it in. Very cool! It's called All Access and it literally will give fans a look into their lives, including tons of photos on and off the road, including Kenny's baby Lincoln and John's baby, Frank who happens to be his dog! Very cute.

That night I headed out to a showcase. Pretty much here in Nashville there are showcases where a new artist will perform and the industry will show up to catch them. I mean every label in town usually. Such was the case to see this new group called Lady Antebellum. You need to go to their myspace account and check out their music very cool and I'm sure it's a matter of time before we hear who landed them on their label. The girl who is one of the lead singers is Hillary Scott. That is Linda Davis' daughter! You know Linda Davis! "Does He Love You" she sang with Reba. Their whole family is so sweet and talented!

From there I jumped over to this annual event that is held outside here in Nashville. Every year the folks responsible for the Grammys put on a block party. Food, music and drinks well into the night. And they always have great talent. This year Sarah Buxton and LBT were two of the acts on the bill. I unfortunately got their late and missed everyone but Little Big Town. I can tell you, even in a sea of jaded industry folks, that group can stop 'em dead in their tracks. They just blow everyone away!
