I finished!

And so it goes! The race is over, all that training it comes to end! It was great to run with Team Rio, Diamond Rio's group helping to raise money for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. By the way thanks to those of you who pledged! Over 100, 000 raised and they're still counting! It also helps to have that support of the other runners and to hear the cheering groups along the sidelines of the run. It was a big year! So the big question, "how'd I do"? Okay, well for me, I shaved 3 minutes off my time from last year. I came in at 2:16:52. Not too bad. I was hoping for 2:10 but I was happy with the finish. Diamond Rio's Jimmy Olander and Marty Roe kicked butt as always! Both coming in under 2 hours!

Now I will hope and prayer my toenail doesn't fall off! I know, gross!! But it happens to many people who take to the streets for this run. It's always my third toe too! Darn! Looks pretty now, it's nice and purple! Ha! Click here for the scary close-up (I would advise you to put down any food you might be eating!)

Hey look for Jason Aldean to join me on GAC Nights on May 23rd. His new cd, Relentless, is due out May 29th. We taped his interview this morning. He talks about some great news in his life! You'll have to watch to hear it! He did talk about the new music, which is psyched about, including a duet with Miranda Lambert! I asked him if they could possibly be the new Conway and Loretta because they sounded so good together! He laughed and said he doesn't know about that! I say, "hey you never know!"

I'm heading out to Jason's party at a place called "Sambuca" here in town. His label is celebrating his platinum success of his debut cd. It's always fun to go to these things cause everyone is in a good mood! And plus it's food and drinks-a-flowing so everyone turns up for the celebration! I'll let you know how it goes!
